Indian business magnate Anand Mahindra is quite an active social media user. In his recent X post, the Mahindra Group chairman cannot stop praising an offbeat tourist site in Maharashtra. He shared a stunning view of Mt Kalsubai, located in Maharashtra’s Ahmednagar district in Akole Taluka.

Noting that he had never heard about this place despite being close to his Engine Factory near Igatpuri, Mahindra showed a sense of amazement over the scenic beauty of the peak. Using a short and simple idiom, the industrialist emphasised the need to take out time out and enjoy the beauty of life.

“This is Mt. Kalsubai in Maharashtra near Igatpuri, Near our Engine Factory. I’ve been to Igatpuri several times but never heard about this place & its beauty. Let alone visiting it. We definitely need to take time in life to “Stop & smell the roses,” he wrote.

In reaction to his X post, social media users also shared more details about the mountain peak along with reactions to the amazing view. A user wrote, “Everest_Of_Maharashtra The mountain range lies within the Kalsubai Harishchandragad Wildlife Sanctuary,” while another commented, “I finished that trek in 2021, and it remains a delightful memory.”

“Perhaps a company outing or team-building exercise at Mt. Kalsubai would be a wonderful way to introduce more people to this hidden gem,” another one wrote.

A user while sharing a breathtaking visual from the peak point wrote, “Kalsubai trek is the best trek near Mumbai with a dream destination for any traveller or fellow trekkers!”

For those unaware, Mt Kalsubai is the highest peak in Maharashtra, lying in the Sahyadri mountain range falling under Kalsubai Harishchandragad Wildlife Sanctuary. With the highest peak point, it commands a beautiful view and attracts trekkers from across the state. During monsoons, the place is entirely covered with fog, while the wind speed is also very strong. However, the locals have installed ladders to make the trekking route easier for people.
