New York: In a bizarre incident, a 28-year-old man was gunned down while he was filming some lighter moments with friends for Facebook Live in Chicago, a media report said on Saturday.
According to CBS News, Antonio Perkins, a father of three children, was live-streaming a video option when the shooting occurred in the background.
Perkins, also a documented gang member, was fatally struck in the neck and head and fell to the ground. He was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead.
According to the police, the shooting was gang-related.
However, Perkins' father said his son was no longer part of the gangs and was working at McDonald’s for the past several years to earn a living.
"My son was doing good. He wasn't involved in anything. He was going to work and taking care of his children," the victim's father was quoted as saying.
This is a second incident in Chicago where someone filming a Facebook Live video has been shot at.
In March, a 31-year-old was also shot at while making a Live video who later survived.
The Live video has been seen over half a million people and been shared over 18,000 times.
