'You've Strengthened India's..': Bill Gates Congratulates Narendra Modi On Third Term As Prime Minister

Former Microsoft CEO Bill Gates on Sunday congratulated Narendra Modi for his third term as the Prime Minister of India.

In a social media post on X, Gates praised PM Modi for strengthening India’s position as a source of innovation in various sectors such as health, agriculture, women-led development, and digital transformation.

The tech billionaire expressed anticipation for a continued partnership aimed at enhancing the lives of people across India and the world.

“You have strengthened India’s position as a source of innovation for global progress in sectors like health, agriculture, women-led development, and digital transformation. Look forward to a continued partnership to enhance the lives of people across India and the world,” Gates wrote.

Modi Sworn In As PM

Modi, who took oath at the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Sunday, has now become only the second Prime Minister after Jawaharlal Nehru to secure a third consecutive term.

Alongside Modi, senior BJP leaders Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, Nirmala Sitharaman, and S Jaishankar were also sworn in as cabinet ministers.

Among the allies of the BJP, which did not secure a majority on its own this time, JD(S) leader HD Kumaraswamy, HAM (Secular) chief Jitan Ram Manjhi, JD(U) leader Lalan Singh, and TDP’s K Ram Mohan Naidu also took the oath of office as ministers.

Congress President and Leader of the Opposition in Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge, was present at the ceremony, although several opposition leaders chose to skip the event.
