WWE Chief Content Officer Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque recently met up with London’s Mayor Sadiq Khan in hopes of bringing the next Wrestlemania event to the England capital. Sportbible has now shared a glimpse of their meetup on Instagram. In a collage of pictures, the ex-wrestler was spotted saying, “We’re here meeting with the Mayor of London.” Triple H then added, “All I have to say to the people of London…Are you ready?” The Game then posed alongside the London Mayor for a snap. The duo could be seen holding a miniature version of a WWE Championship belt as they smiled for the camera.

WWE fans have now reacted to the post, exhibiting their excitement over the prospect of a WrestleMania showcase in London. Taking to the comments section, one of them wrote, “Gotta love the announcement right before AEW event in London.”
Another fan opined that WrestleMania coming to London would be massive. “This is huge,” he wrote.
One fan went down memory lane to ask other viewers about the 1992 SummerSlam event that was held in the English city. “Who remembers SummerSlam 92 at Wembley?” he asked.
Another remembered the WWE premium live event and wrote, “I remember 92 SummerSlam was in London! Macho Man vs Warrior for the title!! Incredibly exciting when you are 12 years old!”
One netizen was a little taken aback by the belt and wrote, “Coulda brought a bigger belt nah.”
A user felt relieved at knowing that he would no longer have to be bothered by the massive time difference. “No more waking up at midnight to watch the whole show,” he wrote.
As per the same post from SportBible Sadiq Khan had expressed his wish to bring the WWE event to London. Speaking ahead of his re-election in May, this is what Khan said as per multiple outlets – “I think London is the sporting capital of the world. We’ve had great events this year, from Major League Baseball, American football, we’ve had Wimbledon, we’ve had Queens, we’ve had Diamond League athletics.” Khan then added, “We’ve had a Test match at Lord’s, another one coming up at The Oval. We’ve got the [Anthony] Joshua fight taking place at Wembley in September. So I’m really keen to get WrestleMania here too.”
Seeing the latest development it is very likely that Sadiq Khan that WrestleMania’s arrival to London could very much be on the cards.
