WWE NXT Results: Axiom And Nathan Frazer Retain Tag Team Titles, Trick Williams Earns NXT Title Shot

NXT action returned to the WWE’s Performance Center in Florida on Tuesday, September 10. Airing live from the city of Orlando, the show was packed with some high-profile action, including multiple championship matches. The show kicked off with Axiom and Nathan Frazer defending their Tag-Team titles against Street Profits.
Other championship matches saw Oba Femi defend his NXT North American Title against Alexander Hammerstone and Charlie Dempsey retain the NXT Heritage Cup against Je’Von Evans. Finally, the main event featured a number one contender’s match for the NXT men’s title between Trick Williams and Pete Dunne.
Axiom and Nathan Frazer retain NXT Tag Team titles
Montez Ford and Axiom began the action with both locking up as the bell rang. After exchanging some blows, the Profits double-teamed on Axiom. Ford tagged back in as Axiom ascended to the top to hit a crossbody. Axiom tagged in next before double-teaming on Ford with Frazer. Ford next became legal and then went to the top turnbuckle before hitting the Blockbuster. Tama Tonga appeared out of nowhere to break the fall, causing a disqualification.
Charlie Dempsey successfully defends the NXT Heritage Cup
Round 1 of the NXT Heritage Cup bout saw Charlie Dempsey lock in a submission move on Je’Von Evans. The pair went back and forth before Evans landed a hurricanrana. Round 1 came to a close with neither of the two securing a fall. The second round saw Dempsey hit the challenger with a Half Nelson Suplex and transition it into a pinfall for a win. Evans scored a point in the next round before Dempsey capitalised on a Belly-to-Belly from Tavion Heights on Evans to win the final fall.
Trick Williams wins another shot to the NXT Championship
The fans were treated to a NXT Men’s Championship Number One Contender’s match in the main event of the weekly live event. After some intense action, Trick Williams and Pete Dunne went crashing through a table after the latter landed a Russian Leg Sweep. Ethan Page appeared at ringside to cheer Dunne before Williams made his way up to his feet. He then sent the champ crashing through an announce desk before winning the ten count to become the number one contender.

Chelsea Green vs Giulia -Giulia beat Green using the Northern Lights Bomb.
Charlie Dempsey (c) vs Je’Von Evans for the NXT Heritage Cup -Dempsey won the final fall with a Lateral Press, beating Evans 2-1 to retain the Heritage Cup.
Alexander Hammerstone vs Oba Femi for the North American Championship -Femi won by pinfall by hitting the Release Powerbomb on Hammerstone.
Duke Hudson vs Ridge Holland – Holland won the match by pinfall.
Jordynne Grace (c) vs Sol Ruca in a TNA Knockouts World Championship Open Challenge Match – Grace sealed a disqualification victory.
Pete Dunne vs Trick Williams in an NXT Championship Number One Contender’s Last Man Standing Match – Williams won by answering the referee’s 10 count to become the number contender for the NXT Men’s title.
