With hours remaining for the highly-anticipated WrestleMania 40, WWE Friday Night SmackDown action returned to wrestling fans on April 5. The live episode emanated from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This was also the last WWE weekly live event before the two-day ‘Show of Shows’ commenced. The night began with a hilarious sequence where Kevin Owens and Randy Orton chased after Logan Paul. Next, the fans were treated to a battle royal match in memory of Andre The Giant. The show also featured some tag-team action as Austin Theory and Grayson Waller took on the New Catch Republic. Finally, Jey Uso and Solo Sikoa squared off in the main event.
Randy Orton and Kevin Owens surprise Logan Paul
WWE superstars Randy Orton and Kevin Owens discussed their mutual hatred for Logan Paul as the show began. The maverick later appeared on the Titantron live from the WrestleMania XL stage. This led to the duo of Owens and Orton deciding to pay Paul a visit at the stadium next door. They eventually got their hands on the Maverick as Owens landed a stunner on Paul who later got hit by an RKO.
Jade Cargill, Bianca Belair and Naomi send message to Damage CTRL
This segment began with Naomi and Bianca Belair coming out first to talk about their history with Damage CTRL. Later Jade Cargill also made her way to the ring explaining why she chose to stand by The EST and The Glow. All three women were dressed in cowboy hats throughout this segment to celebrate Beyonce’s latest album.
LA Knight makes a promise to AJ Styles
With the whole sold-out arena behind him, LA Knight delivered his final words for AJ Styles. He promised that he would put boots on this heated rivalry. The Million Dollar Megastar did not add anything to his match but did take advantage of a vocal crowd.

Jimmy Uso attacks Jey Uso in the main event
The final match of the night saw Solo Sikoa take on the Bloodline member Jey Uso. Sikoa continued to dominate his opponent before preparing for the Samoan spike. That was when Jey countered the move into a superkick before hitting a spear and a Uso Splash. Following this, the match was interfered with by Jimmy Uso who broke up the pinfall to cause a disqualification.
