2017 Maruti Suzuki S-Cross: Here's What to Expect
There's a new Maruti Suzuki S-Cross which is expected to come to India next year.

The Suzuki S-Cross was launched in 2013 globally and was the successor to the SX4, which was sold as a crossover everywhere except in India. Now, Suzuki has unveiled an all-new S-Cross which, thanks to an aggressive facelift, looks a lot bolder than before and inherits some SUV characteristics. There have been several reports surrounding the S-Cross is on its way to Indian shores even though there is no official date as of now. But given the excitement surrounding aggressive looking, mini-SUVs in India, the S-Cross seems like a good option for Maruti Suzuki. So, if and when it does hit our shores, here's what you need to know about it.

The refreshed model looks sharper than its predecessor thanks to the bold new front grille and increased ride height. It now has 180 mm of ground clearance compared to the original model's 165 mm. The S-Cross also gets new projector headlamps with a redesigned bumper completing the bold new front fascia.

If we talk about the interiors, then the S-Cross will host soft touch materials on all models while depending on trim specification, Bluetooth connectivity, air conditioning, cruise control, sat nav, a parking camera and sensors, radar assisted brake support and a double sliding panoramic roof is available as standard or options. The instrument cluster has been updated too with a much better design. There's also the Suzuki's ALLGRIP four-wheel drive system that can send the right amount of torque to the right wheels at the right time.

The S-Cross is sold globally with a 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engine options along with a 1.4-litre BoosterJet petrol engine. At this point, any speculation about the kind of engine that will power the Indian offering is too far-fetched.

As of now, Maruti Suzuki is expected to launch the Baleno RS and Ignis along with a new Swift DZire expected next year.
