The leading two-wheeler maker, Bajaj, is all set to roll out the updated version of Chetak Premium in the Indian market tomorrow.
The revamped electric scooter will be equipped with advanced and swanky features to attract a mass target audience and provide a better e-scooter riding experience.
There are already two scooters in the Chetak lineup which includes an Urbane and a Premium variant, but the two models are extremely similar. Bajaj is expected to widen the difference between the two versions with the upgraded Chetak Premium.
The Chetak Urbane will remain a more affordable and more basic alternative, while the redesigned Chetak Premium will offer the more expensive and feature-rich option.
The ace two-wheeler company took to social media to announce the launch date of the updated Chetak Premium. With a post, the company informed that the beast on wheels will launch on January 5 at 1 PM. Sharing the update, the company wrote, “The next mile in our electrifying journey is beginning soon.”

In addition to that, the official handle of Chetak has teased scooter enthusiasts with teaser images showing some parts of the revamped scooter, including a clear view of the new Bluetooth-enabled TFT dash, providing all the information related to the e-scooter to the rider.

As far as the other notable features are concerned, the Chetak Premium will be equipped with turn-by-turn navigation, helping the customers on every turn to make the riding experience easier. Apart from this, it will continue to sport some trending features such as a neat single-sided front suspension, a remote lock/unlock system for tyre pressure monitoring, a speed limit sensor, a slick, rounded design, and stylish alloy wheels, among others.
Coming to the storage capacity, reports said the under-seat compartment will now be able take a load of up to 21 litres. As of now, Chetak Premium only offers a maximum storage of 18 litres.
According to reports, the company is planning to deploy a larger battery pack in the Premium model, providing extra range to customers. The Chetak Premium will feature a powerful 3.2 kWh battery pack, replacing the 2.88 kWh one, which provides a claimed range of 108km. However, the upcoming unit will cater to customers with a better range and might provide IDC’s claimed range of 127 kilometers.
Customers will be able to charge the vehicle from 0 to 100 percent in 4 hours and 30 minutes. Moreover, the updated scooter will have a higher top speed and the throttle can be pushed up to 73 km/h.
