Kia Motors has formally announced its entry to India at the Auto Expo 2018 and on the display were the future products to be launched in India. Apart from the SP Concept compact SUV, Picanto and Sorento, on display was the hot Stinger GT. The Stinger sports sedan was the showstopper for the Korean carmaker at the Expo.
The Stinger is the flagship product from Kia Motors and sits at the top of the Kia international product line-up. However, Kia will not bring the product to the Indian shores, given the high cost attached to the product that could easily surpass Rs 75 Lakh mark. Additionally, Kia wants to concentrate on mass-products in India.
As for the product itself, Kia Stinger is available in rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive forms and has a four-cylinder petrol engine and a V6 engine. The most talked about engine is the 365hp, 3.3-litre V6 petrol-powered GT version – which has a claimed 0-100kph time of 4.7sec.
