During the initial years of the championship, only tin-top car racing was allowed but now the championship will receive a big push with the single seater formal cars, Indian motorcycles, Super Saloons and 600 cc Superbikes.
The focus of the series was the MRF Formula-1600 single seater, one of the most technically advanced cars in India till date
