Hyundai is reportedly working on new facelifted variant of its popular SUV, the Creta, for the Indian Market as the vehicle has crossed one lakh mark in sales since its launch in 2015.

The facelifted Creta is expected to carry engines of the existing Creta under the hood with an addition of mild-hybrid technology to improve fuel economy.

On the outside, the new vehicle is expected to receive styling changes in line with other newer Hyundais, with noticeable changes expected to come down to an updated cabin and the integration of Hyundai’s family grille into the SUVs’ design up front. The exterior styling might be the same as the Brazilian-spec Creta revealed at the Sao Paulo auto show last year.

The facelifted Creta is rumored to hit Indian roads sometime late next year.

Reportedly, Hyundai is also planning to replace the Creta in 2021 with a second generation model which is expected to have a seven-seat model alongside a regular five-seater variant.

The Creta 2017 was launched in India at a starting price of Rs 9.99 lakh.
