Royal Enfield has had a runaway success with their adventure-tourer Himalayan ever since its launch last year in February. One of the reasons that it appealed to such a large audience is because of its minimalistic and purpose-built design which makes it capable of taking on some of the harshest terrains without a sweat.
As per a recent Supreme Court order – starting April 1, 2017, only vehicles which comply with BS IV emission norms will be allowed to be sold in India.
The Himalayan currently sold in India comes with the newly developed 411c LS410 engine that makes 24.5 horsepower and 32 Nm of torque.
What remains to be seen is how the expected price increase affects the Himalayan especially since the Bajaj Dominar 400 is already eating into its share of pie.
There are several other discounts going on at BS III vehicles to look at too, you can check them all out here.
