Volkswagen hikes Polo and Vento prices, makes front airbags standard for Polo

Volkswagen India has hiked prices of its Polo and Vento models by 2.7 per cent. The price rise by Volkswagen is aimed to mitigate the increased input costs and fluctuations in exchange rates. The good news though is that the Polo will now get front dual airbags as standard fitment in all variants.

Apart from airbags, anti lock braking system (ABS) is also a standard offering on the 'Comfortline' trim version of the Polo.

The rise in Polo and Vento prices translate into a rise of about Rs 22,700 and Rs 26,800 for the Vento. This hike will be effective from February 1, 2014.
