Mumbai: Air India (AI), which is introducing a direct flight between Pune and Dubai from December 12, announced an introductory fare of Rs 5,475 for one-way and Rs 12,105 as return fare for Pune-Dubai-Pune.
This offer is for two weeks upto December 24, an AI release said.
The thrice-weekly flight, to be operated with 201-seater A310 aircraft on Monday, Thursday and Friday, will depart from Pune at 1515 hrs IST and reach Dubai at 1655 hrs IST.
On the return leg, the flight will depart from Dubai at 1800 hrs and arrive in Pune at 2225 hrs IST.
The new flight will provide to the people of Pune and neighbouring areas a direct and convenient connectivity to Dubai.
Commencement of international operations from Pune will mean the need for the passengers to travel to Mumbai for taking an international flight to Dubai.
Passengers boarding or deplaning in Pune will be able to complete their immigration and customs formalities at their city airport, both at the time of departure and arrival.
Meanwhile, there are now 42 weekly services to Dubai, as against 25 prior to April, 2003.
While Air India operates 28 flights to Dubai from Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Lucknow and Thiruvananthapuram, the daily services to Dubai from Kochi and Kozhikode are operated by Air India Express.
With the introduction of the new service, Pune will become Air India's 14th online station in India.
