After scoring a four-ball duck on his T20I debut for India on Saturday (July 6), Abhishek Sharma bounced back in style on Sunday (July 7) during the 2nd T20I, which was played between India and Zimbabwe in Harare. The 23-year-old right-handed batter faced a total of 47 balls and, with the help of seven fours and eight sixes, scored 100 runs. He opened his account with a six on the first ball he faced in the second T20I and reached the triple-figure mark with a hat-trick of sixes in the 14th over.
After becoming the quickest Indian batter in T20Is to score a century, Abhishek celebrated in style. The left-handed batter who earned a place in the Indian team following a super show in IPL 2024 for SRH received a standing ovation from Indian captain Shubman Gill and other players from the dugout.
A day after Abhishek’s super show with the bat, an Instagram post of his sister Komal Sharma is going viral on the internet, in which she can be seen cheering for Abhishek’s latest achievement in front of the television set along with her parents.

The video began with Abhishek’s family looking a little tensed as he approached the 100-run mark. Moments later, all three burst into celebration when the youngster reached the landmark. Komal could be cheering for her brother behind their parents, who were seated on the sofa. Abhishek’s father gave a round of applause while his mother could be seen joining her hands in gratitude.
This isn’t the first time fans have witnessed Komal expressing her love and affection for her brother. She had gone viral during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season during a match between the Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings. The game saw Abhishek win the Player of the Match award on May 19 for his heroics in a four-wicket victory. After getting the trophy, Abhishek posed with his sister for a photograph. Komal was then seen asking her brother for a kiss on the cheek as they stood together for the snap. The young batter denied the request in typical sibling fashion and said, “Chal!”
