One of the finest batters to represent the Indian cricket team, Harmanpreet Kaur is currently handling the leadership duties at the Mumbai Indians in the second edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL). She had led the franchise to the title in the inaugural season last year. As Harmanpreet celebrates her 35th birthday today, we take a look at the Team India captain’s records and achievements.
Harmanpreet burst onto the scene in 2009 but it was not until 2013 that she carved out a niche for herself in a side that boasted of high-profile names such as the-then captain Mithali Raj and legendary fast bowler Jhulan Goswami.

While she has been India’s all-format captain since Mithali Raj decided to call it quits, Harmanpreet Kaur first led India in the 2012 Women’s Asia Cup final against Pakistan.
