IND vs ENG: Ravindra Jadeja Provides Big Update on His Recovery Ahead of India's Squad Announcement
Ahead of India's squad announcement for the remaining 3 Tests, Ravindra Jadeja came up with a post on Instagram updating his followers about his well-being.

As Team India gears up for the third Test against England in Rajkot, the question looms over the availability of Ravindra Jadeja. The ace all-rounder suffered a hamstring injury on the fourth day of the series opener in Hyderabad, which India lost by 22 runs. He’s currently rehabilitating at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru under the supervision of BCCI’s medical team.

Jadeja was eventually ruled out of the second fixture in Visakhapatnam but kept providing inputs about his recovery via social media. On the other hand, the Indian cricket board is about to name the squad for the remaining three games in the series. Ahead of the official announcement, the southpaw came up with another post on Instagram updating his followers about his well-being.

In the picture shared on the social media platform, Jadeja appeared cheerful and wrote, “Getting Better.”

Earlier on Wednesday, news agency PTI had reported that Jadeja’s progress has been positive and his hamstring is healing well but it might not be good enough to allow him to get cracking on his home turf in Rajkot.

Meanwhile, the fans and experts are also curious to know the availability of Virat Kohli. The report also stated that the former Indian skipper is unlikely to return for the next two games – in Rajkot and Ranchi. His chances of playing in the final Test in Dharamsala, starting March 7, are also remote but the board isn’t looking that far ahead as that particular match is still a month away.

“The BCCI has time and again made it clear that when it comes to family matters, it stands firmly behind the cricketer and it will be Virat’s call when he is ready to make a comeback. As of now, it looks unlikely that he will play in the series,” the news agency quoted a BCCI source as saying.

There’s also a possibility that KL Rahul, who was out of the second Test due to pain in his quadriceps, might come back to the Indian camp. His return would result in Rajat Patidar’s exit from the Playing XI.
