In the 39th over, Siraj bowled one that kept slightly low on the off-side but luckily Mendis was able to get some bat on it. But the delivery resulted in no runs being conceded. However, following the delivery Siraj had taken a few steps towards the batter and the two had an exchange of words.

The Sri Lankan side has had a fairly decent performance in the 50-over series against the Men in Blue where the hosts currently have the series lead, having won their previous game.
The Indian team will hope that they can put in their best performance with the bat to ensure the series is levelled. However, the Sri Lankan bowling attack, in particular the spinners has proven to be a menace.

In the last game, Jeffrey Vandersay played a key role in the second innings with six wickets to help take the win for Sri Lanka. With the series on the line, Rohit Sharma’s men will hope that they can counter the Lankan spinners and take the victory.
Rohit has been in decent touch with the bat, giving the perfect start for the Indian team in the previous two games. However, the rest of the Indian batting order has failed to step up when it matters the most.
This has resulted in the Indian team handing an ODI debut to Riyan Parag who has already had a decent performance in today’s first innings. He picked up 3 wickets which included Avishka Fernando, Charith Asalanka and Dunith Wellalage. Now the Indian youngster will hope to step up if needed with the bat to take on the Sri Lankan bowlers and help complete their chase of 249 runs.
