'Kya Hua, Bolo?... You Cut That Out!': Suryakumar Yadav in Splits as Morne Morkel Hilariously Fails to Speak in Hindi
India bowling coach Morne Morkel's attempt at speaking in Hindi left T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav in splits.

South African fast bowling great Morne Morkel seems to be working on his Hindi still has a long way to go. Morkel, one of the finest fast bowlers to have played the game, recently joined the Indian men’s cricket team backroom staff in the role of a bowling coach. In a clip shared by BCCI on social media, Morkel can be seen struggling to respond to India T20I captain Suryakumar’s query in Hindi before leaving the former in splits before asking the cameraperson to cut that bit.

“Kya hua, bolo? (Tell me what happened),” Suryakumar asks midway through the clip leaving the stage clear for Morkel to shine.

And full marks to Morkel for giving it all, uttering a few hilariously conjured words together before giving up. And then he pleads, almost as an order, for his failed attempt to be scrubbed from the video.

“You cut that out!” quips Morkel.

The Indian team is in New Delhi for the second T20I of their ongoing three-match series against Bangladesh slated to be held at the Arun Jaitley Stadium tonight. Besides the funny interaction between Suryakumar and Morkel, the video features bits from India’s training session for the contest with head coach Gautam Gambhir keeping a close watch.

This is the first time Gambhir is returning to his hometown in the capacity of India’s head coach. He succeeded Rahul Dravid into the role earlier this year.

After a dominant show in the two-match Test series that saw them complete a clean sweep, India are aiming for a series sweep in the ongoing T20Is against Bangladesh too and have taken the first step with a brilliant victory in the first match last week in Gwalior. Having limited Bangladesh to 127 in 19.5 overs, India chased down the target in just 11.5 overs for a seven-wicket win to lay down the marker.
