'Next India Captain After Rohit Sharma': Sanju Samson Gets Endorsement from World Cup Winner After IPL 2024 Exploits
Sanju Samson has been leading Rajasthan Royals admirably well and has been a consistent performer in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League.

The selectors are going to have a hard time when they meet later this month to finalise India’s 15-man squad for the 2024 T20 World Cup considering the wealth of options at their disposal. Be it the established stars or those on the fringes, there have been plenty of eye-catching performances in the ongoing IPL 2024 and the pressure will be on the Ajit Agarkar-led panel.

India spin legend Harbhajan Singh has now advised the Indian selectors to pick Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson hinting he should be their first-choice for the wicketkeeper-batter’s role for the T20 World Cup.

Samson has three half-centuries so far – the joint-most thus far this IPL alongside teammate Riyan Parag, Heinrich Klaasen and Quinton de Kock. He’s fourth on the list of the Orange Cap race.

Additionally, under him, RR have been a cut above their competitors in IPL 2024. After eight matches, the former champions have tasted defeat just once while winning the rest.

With 14 points and a healthy net run-rate of 0.698, RR are leading IPL standings with Kolkata Knight Riders second (10 points from 7 matches) followed by Sunrisers Hyderabad (10 points from 7 matches) and Chennai Super Kings (8 points from 7 matches).
