Sachin Tendulkar went southpaw to celebrate International Left-Handers Day.

As the world has grown used to seeing Sachin Tendulkar showcase his godly talents on the international stage, the Master Blaster has taken to social media to showcase his skills with both bat and ball on International Left-Handers Day.

Going southpaw, the former Indian international showed his all-round skills in a video uploaded to his official handle on Instagram. The Indian cricketing icon showcased a fine cover drive along with some fine off-spin to match that.

Cricket as a sport has seen various left-handers that have dominated the world stage. Brian Lara, Sanath Jayasuriya, Gary Sobers and Yuvraj Singh among many others have ruled the biggest stage.

Sachin on the special occasion wished the many southpaws that have dazzled the cricketing stages on the special occasion.

Among the brightest talents for the future are the likes of Quinton de Kock, Travis Head, Devon Conway, and Nicholas Pooran are among the international stars that are currently the best left-handed batters of the current generation across all formats.

As for the ones which have the highest ceiling in world cricket, Yashasvi Jaiswal stands out. He has made himself a mainstay in India’s squad particularly in the Test format where he smashed 712 runs in the five-match series against England at home earlier this year. He is also next in line to open the batting for the Indian team in the shortest format despite not getting a game in India’s T20 World Cup 2024 campaign.

Currently, the Indian cricket team will prepare for their next assignment where they take on the next-door neighbours Bangladesh in a two-match Test series at home starting on September 19 in Chennai where they will play the first game followed by Kanpur on September 27.

The Indian team will look to get back to winning ways after being outclassed in the recently concluded away ODI series against Sri Lanka where they were beaten 2-0 in the three-match affair.
