Mumbai Indians batter Suryakumar Yadav had an adorable chat with his wife Devisha Shetty following his match-winning knock against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Monday, May 6. It was a special night for Surya, who notched the second century of his IPL career, scoring an unbeaten 102 off 51 balls at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. His blistering knock comprised as many as 12 boundaries and six maximums. After the on-field proceedings came to an end, Surya was spotted speaking to his wife Devisha, who marked her presence in the stands to cheer for the five-time champions. As soon as he received a call from his wife, the Indian cricketer waved his hands at the VIP gallery to catch her attention.
After the video call was connected, Suryakumar Yadav smilingly said “hey” to Devisha, who looked quite enthralled by her husband’s performance. She was accompanied by two friends and introduced them to Surya. One of them jokingly revealed that he was able to take Surya’s catch from the stands. The Indian batter immediately showed a thumbs-up in response.

Suryakumar Yadav came down to bat when Mumbai Indians had already lost the important wickets of Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma. Tilak Varma registered a solid partnership with Surya following the dismissal of Naman Dhir. As the situation demanded, Varma held the wicket at one end while Surya went all guns blazing to keep the scoreboard ticking.

Suryakumar Yadav completed the chase with a monstrous six as Mumbai Indians claimed a seven-wicket victory in the home game.
