AIMA MAT 2024: Exam Structure Revised, Check New Schedule
AIMA said that changes in the exam structure, duration, and content focus are encompassed in MAT 2.0. Students will now be required to attempt 150 questions within the exam duration of 120 minutes

The All India Management Association (AIMA) has introduced an updated version of the Management Aptitude Test (MAT) for MBA and PGDM admissions. The new iteration, termed MAT 2.0, which will be introduced in May 2024 aims to incorporate additional sections focusing on contemporary business and economic dynamics, according to a press release by AIMA.

AIMA said that changes in the exam structure, duration, and content focus are encompassed in MAT 2.0. Students will now be required to attempt 150 questions within the exam duration of 120 minutes. MAT 2.0 is scheduled to be held through various modes, including Computer-Based tests (CBT), Paper-Based Test (PBT), and Internet-Based Test (IBT). It offers flexibility to candidates in selecting a mode that best suits their convenience and preferences, reported Hindustan Times.

AIMA MAT 2024: Educational Qualification

Candidates must be graduates in any discipline. However, final-year students of graduate courses are also eligible to apply.

AIMA MAT 2024: Schedule

PBT mode (Paper-Based Test): The paper-based test is scheduled to be conducted on June 2, and the last date for registration to this mode is May 28.

CBT (Computer-Based Test): The examination date for this mode is May 26, and the deadline to register for the CBT exam will end on May 19.

IBT (Internet-Based Test)-1: Talking about IBT mode, the registration for IBT-1 will end on 16 May and the date of examination is 19 May.

IBT-2: The IBT-2 test date is May 24, and the last date for registration is May 21.

IBT-3: The registration process for the IBT-3 test will end on 28 May and the date of examination is May 31.

AIMA MAT 2024: Application Fee

To complete the application process for MAT May 2024, candidates need to pay an examination fee of Rs 2,100. Applicants can opt for an additional test mode by paying an extra charge of Rs 1,200, which means for dual programmes such as IBT + IBT, PBT + CBT or PBT + IBT, or CBT + IBT, the fee is Rs 3300.

AIMA Director Daljeet Singh said, “We have received valuable feedback from numerous business schools and stakeholders, urging us to prioritize sections aligning with emerging trends. Consequently, we have made significant adjustments to both the exam questions and structure in consultation with our partner institutions. The advancing landscape of business, driven by the increasing influence of Fintech and technology, has necessitated a paradigm shift in our approach. We are now placing greater emphasis on topics traditionally overlooked in management education, thereby equipping aspiring students with the knowledge and skills essential for success in today’s dynamic business environment.”
