Ayodhya Ram Mandir Consecration: Half-day Holiday Declared for Schools, Colleges on Jan 22
Not just educational institutes, all offices of the state government will remain closed till 2.30 pm on Jan 22 to allow people to participate in the celebrations, a government notification said

Governments of several states including Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Haryana have issued orders to keep schools and colleges closed on January 22 on the occasion of the consecration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. Apart from this, there will be a half-day holiday in government offices also.

A half-day holiday has also been announced in Jamia Millia Islamia on January 22. Deputy Registrar Mohammad Hadis Larry has said that along with Jamia University, Jamia School will also remain closed till 2.30 pm. Universities and schools will open after 2:30 pm on that day. However, important meetings and examinations will be held as per their scheduled time.

Punjab University of Chandigarh has also declared a holiday on January 22. However, the examinations to be held on this day will be conducted as per the schedule. In the order issued by the Deputy Registrar of Panjab University, it is written that all the teaching/non-teaching departments/offices of Panjab University located in the university campus and aided and unaided private colleges located in Chandigarh will participate in the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla.

All offices and institutes of the state government will remain closed till 2.30 pm to allow people to participate in the celebrations, a government notification said. Two separate notifications were also issued by the School and Higher Education Department declaring holidays for schools and colleges on January 22, reported PTI. The Union government also announced a half-day holiday for all its employees.

Furthermore, most of the private schools in Ranchi, Jharkhand will remain closed on this day. JVM Shyamali School has also announced a holiday. Apart from this, schools in Kerala will also remain closed.

Many schools of the DAV Group will also remain closed. There is also a public school holiday in Delhi on January 22. The PRO of Delhi Public School has given information in this regard.

Apart from these, Chiranjeevi Group of School, Sachchidanand Gyan Bhari School (Doranda), Bishop School, and Firayalal Public School of Ranchi will remain closed. Little Wings School (Bootymod), Hill Top School, Cabrion School (Kanke Road), Manan Vidya Manrakhan Mahato School, Surendranath Centenary School, Lady KC Roy School (DAV Argora, Nayasarai, Pundag, and Itki), LA Garden, East Point School, Step by Step School, Sharda Global School, Bright Angels Play School, Seven Star Academy, Little Angels Nursery School, Gurukul Gurukul World Play School (Morabadi and Lalpur) and First Cry Intellitos Pre School (Ashok Nagar) will remain closed.
