Lucknow University in Uttar Pradesh is one of the most prestigious universities in the country. Students from all over the country try to enrol in undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Now, it has been found that Lucknow University has opened applications for admission in postgraduate and postgraduate professional courses for the academic session 2024–25.
As per the notification, there will be admissions for 5,062 seats in 73 subjects at the university. Apart from that, applications have also opened for courses including Masters (PG), PG Management Programme, M.Ed., B.P.Ed., M.P.Ed., LLM, and LLB. It has also been found that the last date to submit the application form is June 10.
Lucknow University PG Admissions: Number of Seats
According to the official notification, Lucknow University will be taking admission for 2126 seats in 35 subjects for the MA programme. For the MBA programme, 640 seats need to be filled. Apart from that, there are 867 seats in 20 subjects of MSc, 20 seats of Acharya, and 65 seats of Library Science. There are a total of 360 seats in M.Com. in Commerce. Lucknow University PG Admissions: Application Fee
To fill out the application form for post-graduation courses, candidates belonging to the general and OBC categories will have to pay a fee of Rs 1000. SC/ST category candidates will pay an application fee of Rs 500. For PG Management courses like MBA, MTTM, M.Ed., MPEd., and B.P.Ed., the application fee will be Rs 1600 for general and OBC and Rs 800 for SC/ST.
According to Lucknow University spokesperson Professor Durgesh Srivastava, it is mandatory to register for a Lucknow University Registration Number (LURN) before applying to the university or any of its affiliated colleges. To register for the LURN, candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 1,000.
The notification has also mentioned certain pre-requisites before filling out the form:
1. The scanned copy of the student’s signature and photo should be within 50 kb.
2. If the candidate is in a reserved category, the document proof should be within 50 kb.
3. Candidates are advised not to deposit the fee again within 72 hours after online payment.
