The revised exam schedule of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test postgraduate (NEET PG) 2024 has been released by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS). Postgraduate medical students may now view the updated schedule at the official websites, nbe.edu.in and natboard.edu.in. Though it was originally set for March 3, the date of the NEET PG 2024 test has since been changed.
The NEET PG 2024 test is scheduled for July 7, 2024, as per the schedule that was made public today. August 15, 2024, has been set as the deadline for determining eligibility to take the NEET PG 2024.
An official notice issued by the NBEMS reads, “In supersession of NBEMS notice dated 09.11.2023 and pursuant to the receipt of NMC letter No. N-P018(20)/7/2023-PGMEB-NMC/000587 dated 03.01.2024, the conduct of NEET-PG 2024 examination which was earlier notified to be tentatively held on 3rd March 2024 stands rescheduled.”
The registration portal for NEET PG 2024 will be available shortly on the official website natboard.edu.in. When enrolling for the medical entrance test, students must have a valid email address and a mobile number. The email address is required for any future correspondence.
Students planning to take the NEET PG 2024 examinations should visit the official website on a frequent basis for updates regarding the NEET PG registration and enrollment process.
On the other hand, NExT (National Exit Test), a national-level medical exam, will be postponed by a year and is projected to begin in 2025. Previously, the test was expected to commence in 2023. The existing NEET postgraduate test will remain in effect until the NExT is operational for postgraduate admissions, per the new regulations that have superseded the Postgraduate Medical Education (Amendment) Regulations, 2018.
The NMC has also issued the “Post-Graduate Medical Education Regulations, 2023,” which require all rounds of counselling for each seat to be performed online by state or central counselling bodies.
Admission to the country’s MD, MS, or postgraduate diploma courses requires passing the NEET PG entrance test. According to recent years’ patterns, the NEET PG 2024 test paper would contain 800 marks. There will be 200 multiple-choice questions on the test overall. The candidate receives four marks for each accurate response and each wrong response results in a deduction of one score.
