Exam Pattern:

Exam Duration: 3 hours 20 minutes

Number of Questions- 200, out of which students have to attempt 180 questions

Types of Questions- MCQ

Subjects- Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology)

Marking System:

For each correct answer, a student will be awarded 4 marks while for each incorrect there is a negative marking of 1 mark.

Change in Syllabus:

The board recently decided to change the syllabus that is set to be introduced in the upcoming session itself. Let us know about the chapters added:

Chapters added in Physics: Gravitation, Properties of Solids and Liquids, Kinetics Theory of Gases, Magnetic effects of current and magnetism, Dual Nature of Matter and Radiation and Experimental Skills.

Chapters added in Chemistry: Atomic Structure, Chemical Bonding and Molecular Structure, Chemical Thermodynamics, Redox Reactions and Electrochemistry, Chemical Kinetics, d and f Block Elements, Purification and Characterization of Organic Compounds, Hydrocarbons, Organic Compounds Containing Halogens and Principles Related to Practical Chemistry.

Chapters added in Biology: Structural Organisation in Animals and Plants, Cell Structure and Function, Genetics and Evolution and Biology and Human Welfare

Tips to Prepare for NEET exam:

Go through and understand the NEET UG syllabus and Exam pattern nicely.

Prepare notes and keep your study materials ready. Most people prefer NCERT books for NEET preparations.

Make a study routine. This will help you to focus on every subject.
