The National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) has released the National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) cut-off fot the 2024 admissions. Candidates who have taken the test can get the NEST 2024 cut-off by accessing the official website, nestexam.in. Qualified candidates must note that the dates for NEST 2024 counselling have not yet been released. The NEST 2024 was administered online on June 30 and the results were announced on July 12. The NEST 2024 answer key was released on July 5. Candidates were required to file their objections by emailing the appropriate NEST authorities by 11 am of July 7.
Exam authorities changed two questions from the NEST 2024 question paper in response to challenges raised about the tentative answer key for the exam. One question from Biology (Question ID 733898484, shift 1) was unclear, with many right responses, while another from Physics (Question ID 733898466, shift 2) had no valid answer among the possibilities. Furthermore, the subject-total scores acquired by students in Biology (shift 1) and Physics (shift 2) have been scaled, bringing the total marks to 180.

The NEST 2024 cut-off was influenced by several factors, including the number of applicants, the difficulty level of the exam, previous years’ cut-offs, the number of available seats, overall performance, and reservation policies.
The National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) 2024 test was administered in 120 locations throughout India. The NEST 2024 paper contains 68 objective-type questions for a total of 200 marks. The NEST test has four sections: mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology. Each successful response to Multiple Selection Questions (MSQs) earns candidates 4 marks, while each erroneous answer results in a 1 mark deduction.
According to the NISER’s official statement, the test will be held to fill a total of 200 seats for Integrated MSc courses in Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics.
