The National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru has begun accepting applications for the National Law School Admission Test (NLSAT) 2024. Candidates can apply for the NLSAT 2024 exam by visiting the official website of NLSIU at admissions.nls.ac.in. The deadline to apply for the entrance exam is February 24. Candidates should keep in mind that no offline applications will be accepted by the university. Candidates must also complete the registration process by the end of the deadline. No applications will be accepted after the deadline.
According to a recent announcement, the National Law School Admission Test 2024 will be held on March 17 this year. The admission test for all three programmes is scheduled from 10 am to 12:30 pm (2.5 hours) at several examination centres across the country. The exam will be conducted for applicants seeking admission to 3-year LLB (Honors), Masters in Public Policy, and PhD programmes. The university has 120 seats available for the three-year LLB programme. The classes will commence from July 1, 2024.
NLSAT 2024: Steps To Apply
Step 1: Go to the official website of NLSIU at admissions.nls.ac.in.
Step 2: On the homepage, candidates need to register themselves by creating login credentials.
Step 3: After logging in fill out the application form.
Step 4: Upload all the required documents and pay the application fee.
Step 5: Once the process is done, submit the application form as directed.
NLSAT 2024: Application Fee
For candidates in the general category, the NLSAT 2024 registration fee is Rs 2,500. Those who fall into the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Caste- Non-Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL), Economically Weaker Section (EWS), or Person with Benchmark Disability (PwD) categories must pay an application fee of Rs 2,000. Meanwhile, the application fee for admission to the PhD programme is Rs 3,000.
Applications that do not include an application fee will be rejected. As a result, candidates must ensure that the application form fee is properly submitted. Candidates who have successfully registered will receive the NLSAT admit card a few days before the exam.
NLSAT 2024: Exam Pattern
The NLSAT-LLB 2024 exam will be 150 minutes, and the question paper will be divided into two parts – Part A and B. Part A will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) carrying one mark each. For each wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted. Those who pass Part A will advance to Part B, which will consist of subjective questions carrying 75 marks.
