The National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru will conclude the application process for the National Law School Admission Test (NLSAT) 2024 today, February 24. Candidates can apply for the NLSAT 2024 exam by going to the official website at admissions.nls.ac.in. Candidates should keep in mind that the university will not accept offline applications or applications received after the deadline.
According to the schedule, the NLSAT 2024 exam will be conducted on March 17. The exam will be administered to candidates seeking admission to three-year LLB (Honours), Masters in Public Policy, and PhD programmes. The admission test for the above programmes will be held from 10 am to 12:30 pm (2.5 hours) at numerous exam centres across India.
NLSIU has announced that the final admission list based on NLSAT 2024 scores will be published in May. For the three-year LLB programme, the university has 120 seats available and the classes are scheduled to begin on July 1, 2024.
NLSAT 2024: Here’s How To Apply
Step 1: Visit NLSIU’s official website at admissions.nls.ac.in.
Step 2: First register yourself by creating login credentials on the homepage.
Step 3: Once the login process is done, fill out the NLSAT 2024 application form.
Step 4: To complete the process, upload the mandatory documents and pay the application fee.
Step 5: Finally, submit the application form as directed.
The NLSAT 2024 examination fee for general category candidates is Rs 2,500. Those who belong to the Scheduled Tribe (ST), Scheduled Caste (SC), Economically Weaker Section (EWS), or Person with Benchmark Disability (PwD), Other Backward Caste- Non-Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL) categories need to pay an application fee of Rs 2,000. Meanwhile, the registration fee for the PhD programme is Rs 3,000.
Candidates who have successfully registered and paid the exam fee will receive their NLSAT admit card a few days before the test.
For those interested in pursuing a PhD, the entrance exam will be for 150 minutes and consist of a 100-mark question paper. Those who score 50 per cent or higher on the written test will be eligible for an evaluation of their research proposal and an oral presentation before a panel of experts on the date specified by the NLSIU.
The university has a total of 8 PhD seats available, with four in PhD Law and four in PhD Interdisciplinary. The NLSAT-PhD, research proposal, and oral presentation all have different weightage in the final selection.
