The Tamil Nadu Teacher Recruitment Board (TN TRB) has published the Annual Recruitment Calendar for the year 2024. The board is seeking online applications for 6,281 vacancies to be filled this year. Interested candidates who are preparing for various state recruitment exams can check the tentative vacancies and month of the examination from the annual recruitment planner by visiting the official portal of Tamil Nadu Teacher Recruitment Board (TN TRB) at trb.tn.nic.in.
As per the TRB Annual Examination Calendar 2024, there are a total of seven recruitments with a total of 6,281 vacancies. It further stated that the notification for the posts of Assistant Professor in Government Arts and Science Colleges of Education will be released in February 2024. There are around 4,000 seats vacant for these posts. The exam will be tentatively conducted in June 2024.
The board has 1,766 vacancies for the post of Secondary Grade Teachers (SGT), the notification for this will be released in January 2024 and the exam will be conducted in April. Moreover, the recruitment notification for around 200 vacancies for the posts of Post Graduate Assistants, will be released in May 2024 and the exam will be conducted in August 2024.
The notification will be issued in April 2024 for Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TNTET) 2024 Paper – I & II recruitment. The exam will be held in July 2024. There are around 120 vacancies for the posts of Chief Minister Research Fellowship (CMRF). The notification for the same will be issued in June 2024 and the exam will be conducted in September 2024.
The exam against 139 vacancies for the posts of SCERT (Senior Lecturers, Lecturers, Junior Lecturers) will be conducted in December 2024 and notification will be released in September 2024. There are 56 vacancies for Assistant Professors in Government Law Colleges and Assistant Professors in Pre Law and the notification will be released in November 2024. The exam will be tentatively conducted in February 2025.

Step 2: Search for and click on the notification for Annual Planner 2024
Step 3: Once done, the TN TRB 2024 tentative annual planner PDF will be displayed on the screen
Step 4: Download a copy of the planner and save it for future reference
Along with the vacancies, the Teacher Recruitment Board (TRB) has issued the tentative month of the Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test, TN TET 2024 (Paper-I and II). According to the notification, the TNTET 2024 will be conducted in July 2024.
The official notification concluded, “This planner is tentative so as to enable the candidates to prepare themselves for the examination. There may be addition or deletion to examinations mentioned in the planner. The vacancies indicated are liable for modification before or after the examination.”
