The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) is set to begin the WBJEE counselling 2024 registration and choice-filling for round 1 today, July 10. The WBJEEB has already made the seat matrix available for the same. Through the official website, wbjeeb.nic.in, candidates can apply for admission to the BTech programmes.
Before registering, students must have a look at the WBJEE 2024 seat matrix PDF and select their most preferred colleges and programmes. The PDF lists the seats that are available for each course and college across all categories at the participating institutions.
WBJEE seat matrix 2024: How to check
Step 1: Visit the official website, wbjeeb.nic.in.
Step 2: From the exams menu, choose the WBJEE link.
Step 3: Navigate to the ‘news and events’ tab.
Step 4: Select the “WBJEE 2024 seat matrix counselling” option.
Step 5: A PDF will show on the screen.
Step 6: Save the PDF file for later use after downloading it.
WBJEE 2024 Counselling: Important Date
The WBJEE counselling procedure is divided into various steps, including registration, college and subject selection, choice locking, seat allocation, document verification, and others. Seats are assigned based on the seat matrix and the list of participating colleges, which are published on the official site.
Applicants must pay a registration fee of Rs 500 for the seat allocation round. The mop-up round requires an additional fee of Rs 200.
A seat acceptance fee of Rs 5,000 must be paid by the prospective student in order to secure their desired seat or to be eligible for an upgrade. The candidate’s assigned seat will be cancelled upon nonpayment of the fee, and their candidature will not be carried over to subsequent rounds.
