Bade Miyan Chote Miyan: Akshay Kumar Is Manushi Chhillar’s ‘Guiding Force’: ‘I Can Call Him Up...’ | Exclusive
Manushi Chhillar says she counts on Bade Miyan Chote Miyan co-star Akshay Kumar for career related advice. She also reveals how 'strict' Ali Abbas Zafar is.

Two years after the release of her acting debut Samrat Prithviraj, Manushi Chhillar is back with Akshay Kumar on yet another project. Bade Miyan Chote Miyan sees the duo paired opposite each other. Not only will they be seen romancing each other but also packing some solid punches and engage in adrenaline-pumping action sequences in the film. At its trailer launch that took place in Mumbai earlier today, Manushi exclusively spoke to News18 Showsha about her equation with the superstar and how it has evolved over the years.

Referring to him as ‘a guiding source’ who she has begun to count on for career-related advice, she said, “As he has seen me since day one, he does have that sense of protectiveness over me. He always gives me advice. He’s someone I can call up and talk about yeh nahi ho raha hai, woh nahi ho raha, how to go about things. He’s the OG hero when it comes to action.”

At the event, Akshay also addressed the press and said how ‘surprised’ he was watching Manushi doing action. He elaborated, “She has done a lot of action in the film. It really surprised me because I remember Ali and I were discussing whether Manushi would be able to do so many action scenes. But he was absolutely right. Manushi has done great action.”

He further continued, “I’ve done a lot of action in my career for like 23 years, and this girl has taken and beaten me! You guys watch this film, and you’ll understand she has done a great job. Alaya, on the other hand, has words of action in the film.” Bade Miyan Chote Miyan sees Akshay playing a soldier on a mission and Manushi as an army captain.

Manushi went to on share with us her experience of working with Ali Abbas Zafar, who has directed women in action-oriented parts in films like Tiger Zinda Hai and Sultan before. “I’ve watched Ali sir’s films and the way he presents his actresses and the way they’ve done action in his films, had already set the benchmark. And as lovely as he is, he’s also very strict. He made sure that I got into training,” the Operation Valentine and The Great Indian Family actor remarked.

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is presented by Vashu Bhagnani and Pooja Entertainment in association with AAZ films. It is written and directed by Ali and produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Jackky Bhagnani, Himanshu Kishan Mehra and Ali. The film is slated to release on April 10. It also stars Tiger Shroff and Prithviraj Sukumaran with Sonakshi Sinha and Alaya F in pivotal roles.
