Later on Saturday, third-place Madrid host Valladolid looking to close their six-point gap with their two title rivals. Real Sociedad visit Espanyol, and Celta Vigo host Almeria.
Barcelona can reclaim sole possession of the league lead when they play at Athletic Bilbao on Sunday.
