London: Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Gervinho and Marouane Chamakh are close to leaving the club.

It is believed that AS Roma are in advanced talks to sign Gervinho while Premier League new entrant Crystal Palace are interested in Chamakh.

However, Wenger has no qualms in releasing both the players as their move will fund his tranfer plans. But the Frenchman clarified that there has been no development on the future of unsettled forward Nicklas Bendtner at the Emirates.

Eintracht Frankfurt was linked to move in place of Bendtner but the deal didn't work out for the Danish international.

In the next 48 hours, Wenger said he will be aware of the possible transfers but said in the assertive of Gervinho and Chamakh moves.

"Gervinho we are at the moment close to an agreement with a club where he should go," Wenger told the club's official website.

"Bendtner we are nowhere. At the moment he is completely here. Chamakh might go somewhere, it will be decided in the next 48 hours. [They are] permanent moves."
