Burnley (England): Roman Pavlyuchenko scored in the 118th minute, and defending champion Tottenham advanced to a League Cup final matchup with Manchester United despite a 3-2 loss to Burnley on Wednesday night.
Goals from Robbie Blake, Chris McCann and Jay Rodriguez wiped out Tottenham's 4-1 advantage from the semifinal first leg two weeks ago.
The away goal didn't count in Burnley's favor until the additional 30 minutes were over, and the League Championship side was already thinking about Wembley with two minutes remaining and the aggregate score 4-4.
Pavlyuchenko scored, and Jermain Defoe added another goal in the 120th minute, giving a 6-4 aggregate win to Spurs, which beat Burnley in the 1962 FA Cup final.
The League Cup final is March 1 at Wembley.
"There is a big sense of relief," Spurs manager Harry Redknapp said. "With five minutes to go, I was thinking it could be the most embarrassing night of my football life. We were not mentally or physically strong enough."
Redknapp started the season by losing to United at Wembley in the Community Shield when still managing Portsmouth. The 61-year-old won the first major trophy of his managerial career by beating Cardiff in the FA Cup final last May.
Fireworks landed on the field in the 50th minute, appearing to be launched from the Burnley fans gathered behind the Spurs goal.
