ERODE: Chennimalai police on Thursday arrested three persons on the charge of murdering a financier-cum-television actress nearly five months back.Loganayaki (55), was found dead in her house with stab injuries. Some valuables, including jewellery weighing five sovereigns, were found to be missing.The woman, who had acted in a couple of television serials, was living alone. After Loganayaki’s husband passed away, she used to lend money to persons who were known to her and collect interest for the same.Police said, their inquiry revealed that one Sathish (26) of Perundurai was involved in the murder.Sathish had taken some money as loan from Loganayaki. When Loganayaki demanded a higher rate of interest, Sathish engaged Nambirajan (23) working in SIPCOT, Perundurai, and Rajeshkumar (22) who was then a polytechnic student of Edapadi, to eliminate her.The duo killed Loganayaki and escaped with jewellery.Nambirajan, Rajeshkumar and Sathish were arrested on Thursday and were produced in Perundurai court, which remanded them to 15 days’ custody.
