As many as 38,000 candidates nationwide had completed their online registration and scheduling process in the first 24 hours of opening the registration window for National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for Postgraduates (NEET-PG).
In a media release, managing director of Prometric India Soumitra Roy said that registrations had taken place at the rate of 1,600 registrations per hour.
Prometric partnered with the National Board of Examinations (NBE) for conducting the first computer based NEET-PG test. He said measures that have been taken to offer as many seats as feasible in candidates’ preferred locations.
NEET-PG is a new qualifying, entrance examination. Notified under the provisions of PG Medical Education Regulations, the NEETPG will be the single, mandatory test for admission to PG medical courses starting from 2013-14.
