8-year-old Hyderabad girl to take Class X exams
Naina is the youngest in Asia to appear for the prestigious IGCSE examination.

Hyderabad: Hyderbad can now take pride in the fact that an eight-year-old girl is set to take the Class Ten examination conducted by the prestigious IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education).

Born on March 22, 2000, Naina is also the youngest in Asia to appear for the prestigious IGCSE examination.

Naina is a student of Sri International School here and presently taking coaching for her exams. She says she faces finds no difficulty while studying her syllabus. She even claims being pretty comfortable with relatively long study hours for a student of her age.

"It is international syllabus and it is so easy for me. I can study properly and do not face any problem," says Naina.

The management at Naina's school is quite satisfied with her efforts. Her schoolteachers are also impressed by her multi-dimensional personality.

"She joined our school when she was five. We have been training her for two to three years. We are satisfied with her performance. We requested the Vice Chancellor of Cambridge University, Alison Richard and Chief Executive of Cambridge International Examinations Ann Putis to consider her for the examination, and they have given their consent."

"After seeing her performance, they have expressed their interest. We train her not only in academics, she is also a State player in table tennis and well-versed in music and other hobbies. She has already recorded a music album and there are so many other activities that she is excellent in," said K. Suresh Kumar, Director of the Sri International School, Hyderabad.

Asked about her dream in life, Naina expressed desire to become an IAS (Indian Administrative Services) officer.
