HYDERABAD: Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Monday cleared proposal for creation of 9,569 school assistant posts including Telugu, Hindi and other subjects under the Rajiv Madhyamik Siksha Abhiyan. The provision of school assistants posts has been made for the first time in the state and will cost the exchequer an addiional Rs241 crore per annum.The districtwise sanction of posts for schools are 545 posts in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram (371 posts), Visakhapatnam (419), East Godavari (960), West Godavari (709), Krishna (207), Guntur (422), Prakasam (89), Nellore (62), Chittoor (528), Kadapa (97), Anantapur (399), Kurnool (625), Mahaboobnagar (506), Rangareddy (633), Hyderabad (4), Medak (675), Nizamabad (413), Adilabad (258), Karimnagar (605), 341 posts in Warangal, 167 in Khammam and 534 posts in Nalgonda.The Chief Minister has sanctioned filling up of 11,139 vavcancies in teacher posts in various categories under the state government and Zilla Parishad level. The posts will entail an expenditure of Rs227 crore per annum. Out of these, school assistant posts are 2,284, GradeII language pandits 1,304, 343 physical education teachers and 7,208 Secondary Grade Teachers. The chief minister also sanctioned posts of 552 beat officers and assistant beat officers for the forest department.
