New Delhi: The prime accused in the Aarushi-Hemraj double murder case, Nupur Talwar spent her second night in Dasna jail on Tuesday after a sessions court in Ghaziabad reserved its order on her bail application. The court is expected to pass its order on her bail plea on Wednesday.
Reportedly, Nupur has told the jail authorities that she will stay on a fast until the court order is delivered.
As the Talwars hope that things go their way on Wednesday, they also hope that their review petition in the Supreme Court will bring them some relief.
Likely scenarios for Nupur Talwar
In case Nupur Talwar gets bail before noon, she will likely be released from Dasna jail by 2 pm.
However, if her bail is rejected, she will possibly move the Allahabad High Court. However, this would mean that she might have to spend the next eleven days in jail, as the Allahabad HC hears the bail plea only ten days after it is filed.
In order to get interim relief, Nupur's counsel may then request the court to take a lenient view and grant interim protection.
Nupur is currently lodged in ward number 13 of the Dasna jail with 69 other prisoners.
