New Delhi: The chargesheet in the gangrape and murder of the 23-year-old Delhi braveheart reveals that the accused had already planned to rape any girl who would have boarded the bus. The accused had hatched the sinister plan of first abducting any unsuspecting girl and then raping her when they were out for a joyride on the night of December 16.
After the paramedical student and her male friend boarded the bus, the accused decided to rape her and later kill both of them to destroy the evidence. According to the sensational disclosures in the chargesheet if any other girl had been waiting for the bus at the Munirka bus stop, she would have met the same horrendous fate.
Police sources say that the accused made a plan to gangrape the girl in moving bus after seeing her on the Munirka bus stop. According to the plan they lured the victim and her friend inside the bus by claiming that it would drop them near their home.
While four of the accused were inside the bus cabin, the other two sat on the back seats to give the impression that they were passengers. Sources say that after raping the girl they decided to kill the victim and her friend to remove the evidence. One of the accused reportedly told the others to throw the duo out of the bus as he suspected that the girl had already died.
Sources say that accused Ram Singh, who used to drive the bus, had admitted about the lan during interrogation. The chargesheet has the details of their plans and the entire Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) report which gives details of evidence gathered from the bus. During the investigation blood stains were found in five places inside the bus. The blood stains were found on the sixth seat, back door, back stairs and the floor. Ram Singh had also bitten the braveheart and so he was made to under saliva test.
The bus was being driven by other accused and Ram Singh's brother, Mukesh, when the the crime was being committed. When he too joined the other accused in raping the girl, the driver's seat was taken by Akshay Singh Thakur.
All the accused have been charged under Indian Penal Code Sections 302 (murder), 307 (attempt to murder), 376 (2)(g) (gangrape), 377 (unnatural offences), 395 (dacoity), 396 (murder in dacoity), 394 (hurting in dacoity), 201 (destruction of evidence), 120B (conspiracy), 34 (common intention) and 412 (dishonestly receiving stolen property). While the five accused who are above the age of 18 years are Ram Singh, Mukesh Singh, Vinay Sharma, Pawan Gupta and Akshay Singh Thakur; the sixth is a minor.
