KOCHI: The Kerala High Court on Friday constituted a seven-member ad hoc committee to manage the  Sree Narayana Dharma Sangham Trust, Sivagiri.The committee consists of seers Prakasananda, Guruprasad, Rithambarananda, Paramananda,  Sadroopananda, Manmangalaswaroopananda and Visudhananda. The members were named from among the candidates who secured most number of votes in the election to the administrative council of the trust.The Division Bench comprising Justice Thottathil B Radhakrishnan and Justice K Vinod Chandran, passed the order, after opening an envelope containing results of the election, and verifying the same. The petition in this regard was filed by Swami Sookshmananda. His allegation was that, ineligible voters were included in the voters’ list.  The court had earlier directed the returning officer to count the votes polled and to produces the results in a sealed cover. There were 26 candidates to the 11-member administrative council.The court directed the present board of trustees, who were allowed to continue as board of receivers, to perform the day-to-day affairs to vacate their office hand it over to the the adhoc committee. “The adhoc committee will be in power till a case, challenging expansion of administrative council, which is pending before the Attingal Sub-Court is disposed”, the court said.
