New Delhi: In a shocking incident in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, a government hospital - Swaroop Rani Nehru Hospital - dumped two of its patients because they could not afford to pay for their treatment.
A jaundice patient and an epilepsy patient were dumped in a field near Jhunsi after the hospital showed them the door.
A case has been registered against a doctor and three other hospital employees for neglecting the seriously ill patients.
After police intervention, the patients were re-admitted in the hosiptal. A inquiry has been ordered.
