The Supreme Court appointed amicus curiae Gopal Subramanium, in the Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple case, visited the temple to collect first-hand information and held discussions with the expert committee, on Saturday.
Subramanium said that he would submit his report within the next 10 days. The Supreme Court had posted the case for October 9. He would submit the report on security, the present status regarding the inventory of assets and other aspects of the temple. He held discussions with SC-appointed expert committee and monitoring panel. On Saturday morning he visited the temple and later held discussions with Chief Minister Oommen Chandy.
The court had given him the permission to visit the temple to get first-hand information and to meet the members of the committee. He had asked the court time to go through the reports and other records.
The committee, in its previous interim report submitted to the Supreme Court, had stated the progress made in the evaluation of the temple riches and the steps taken towards strengthening the security.
