KOCHI: The 20 km-stretch on Peerumedu hills witnessed an adrenaline-pumping motor sporting event when participants of the “Mahindra Great Escape”, drove their vehicle off-road on Saturday. Peerumedu SI K K Sasidharan Nair flagged off the event.Motor sport enthusiasts from all over the country gathered at Kuttikanam and Peerumedu to participate and witness the ‘Mahindra Great Escape’, the adventure event on Mahindra fourwheel drive jeeps.The 60 participants had to cross rocky cliffs, roads with boulders and areas without roads with tall wild bushes.Mahindra Adventure has given the Mandate to IMSC (Indian Motor Sports Club,) which is to manage and organise 10 such events in India of which, three will be in Kerala.The Great Escape is the second Mahindra adventure motor sport event in Kerala this year. IMSC is led by Moosa Sherif and Aswin Naik.
