New Delhi: The Indian Army has launched a website called suryahopes.in which contains the latest information on its rescue operations in flood-ravaged Uttarakhand. The website contains list of rescued persons, helpline numbers and details of the locations where rescue efforts are going on, among other things.
The content is updated on a regular basis and the data has been obtained from state administration and from troops deployed in the disaster area, the website homepage claims.
Meanwhile, rescue operations across the state on Wednesday with a considerable risk to the lives of the men in uniform, who are undeterred despite the tragic helicopter crash on Tuesday. Twenty people have died in the crash, including five IAF, nine NDRF and six ITBP personnel.
