KPCC president Ramesh Chennithala has said that it was the arrests of the ‘real culprits’ involved in the murders that made the CPM leadership desperate now.
Talking to mediapersons after visiting the Kannur DCC office which was attacked by the CPM workers, the KPCC president said that the practice of arresting the culprits on the basis of the list provided by the CPM leadership had been stopped.
He said that the police were arresting culprits following scientific methods of investigation and without using third-degree methods. The police couldn’t keep away from taking action against the CPM district secretary if he was found to be involved in a criminal act, he said.
The KPCC president said that the CPM would pay a heavy price for the violence unleashed by it following the arrest of P Jayarajan.
