At 98, Sosamma was the oldest to vote

KOCHI: Plakkombel Sosamma had not missed any election since her first vote. The Piravom bypoll was not to be any different. Sosamma became the oldest voter to exercise her franchise in the byelection at age 98.She reached the booth at st. Joseph’s UP School, Arakkunnam, along with her elder son George. Though Sosamma’s sense of responsibility was nothing new to the locals, who have known her for years, she did grab the attention of polling agents and officials.
