New Delhi: The Rajasthan Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has approached an Ajmer court seeking permission for a narco test on Devendra Gupta, who was arrested in connection with the Ajmer blasts, on Wednesday.
Investigators had traced a SIM card used to trigger the blast to him. He is also alleged to have links with the hardline Hindu outfit- the Abhinav Bharat.
Apart from Gupta, two more have earlier been arrested.
Meanwhile, CBI sources tell CNN-IBN that there is similarity between the materials as well as techniques used to cause the blast in Ajmer and Mecca Masjid in Malegaon.
They say that they want joint teams of Rajasthan ATS and the CBI to interrogate Gupta and Pragya Thakur. Gupta's interrogation suggests that other mosques are also on their hit-list.
Congress General secretary Digvijay Singh said he was certain the RSS had a hand in the Ajmer, Mecca Masjid and Samjhauta express blast.
“I wish Rajasthan ATS team for arresting accused of Ajmer Blast as you can see both are the member of RSS and they are living in Mahu cantonment area from several year if further interrogated you will find out these people are connected in Mecca Masjid blast and if you interrogate more you will find they are also involved in Samjhauta blast.
